Abstract
The thesis has the intention of providing a picture of recent debates about the relational approach in the case of a GHZ state. Relational quantum mechanics, coined by Rovelli, is meant as a reconstruction of quantum mechanics, based on the concept of quantum state relative to the observer. The thesis presents the fundamentals of quantum mechanics in its standard formulation and the approach proposed by Rovelli, who wants to give a new meaning to the theory, while keeping its descriptive and predictive power.
Some authors claim that, in the case of a GHZ state, contradictions emerge with quantum mechanics and, according to them, relational quantum mechanics is not a valid approach.
The thesis presents also the responses to this claim by Rovelli and other authors, as well the counter-responses. From all these exchanges an interesting discussion was born which allows us to get an idea of the status of the approach proposed by Rovelli.
The thesis does not claim to find a definitive answer to the issue, but rather to put the debate in order and understand what the possible paths might be in light of it.
