Abstract
This thesis focuses on the structural modelling of a six-legged jack-up serves as a wind turbine installation vessel, with an emphasis on simulating Rack Phase Difference (RPD) values as accurate as possible. By employing simplified hull models and calibrated equivalent elements, the study explores the impact of Leg-to-Hull Interface (LHI) components on RPD. Three modelling approaches are compared against a state-of-the-art model and real-world benchmark data. The results provide a detailed understanding of the structural behaviour of jack-ups, particularly in the context of RPD development. The findings serve as a foundation for enhancing modelling techniques and offer valuable guidance for future studies on jack-ups under various operational scenarios.
