Abstract
The first chapter is dedicated to the anatomy and physiology of coronary arteries. Moreover, in this chapter, I describe the physiological problem that is the basis of my research: coronary artery stenosis. The main topic of the second chapter is the imaging technique used in the context of coronary arteries. The imaging techniques are classified, according to the principle of invasiveness, into invasive and non-invasive. The third chapter is dedicated to the fluoroscopic C-arm. The analysis is focused on the working principle of fluoroscopy, the characteristics of the C-arm manufactured by SKANRAY, and the comparison with other technologies currently available. The last chapter concerns the explanation of the project, starting from the methodologies and passing through the logical reasoning until the final findings of the research. The project has been developed in MATLAB.
