Abstract
Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that allows a real-time visualization of the internal structures of the human body. It can be performed for diagnostic purposes or to help guide specific treatment procedures.
Fluoroscopic images can be often characterized by poor contrast, which may reduce the visibility of some significant anatomical details, potentially leading to inaccurate diagnosis and to errors during medical procedures. In these cases, contrast enhancement techniques become essential to improve the ovearall image quality.
In this work, different approaches to improve the contrast of fluoroscopic images are implemented and compared.
