Abstract
This dissertation is about the perception of former Child Language Brokers of their past (and sometimes present) roles as linguistic and cultural mediators in both formal and informal contexts, with particular focus on the way their role has changed overtime.
The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate whether the perception of different aspects of the Child Language Brokering experience of former child language brokers aligns with the findings of other studies, in particular with the ones by the In MedIO PUER(I) project, led by professor Antonini.
Through a thematic analysis of seven interviews, this dissertation explores how Child Language Brokering is connected to positive and negative feelings, to the awareness of one's role and to family dynamics.
