Abstract
The contemporary world is facing an increasing number of extreme events, triggered by climate change, global warming effects, natural disasters, and conflict, that have resulted in people displacement thus significant flows of refugees, especially from vulnerable countries. This thesis explores the possible solutions to meet the urgent need for providing safe and secure shelter the many people forced to move away from their own home. The study analyses and compare several case studies of recently developed shelters, categorized them by construction methods, also exploring innovative techniques like 3D printing. This research aims to contribute to global efforts in improving shelter conditions for displaced individuals, ensuring their well-being and preserving their self-esteem, as well as the security, privacy, and dignity of the refugees.
