Abstract

In industrial environments, wireless power transfer (WPT) systems are used to supply energy to low-power sensor nodes for battery-less applications. This thesis presents a WPT system to power LoRa nodes in order to charge the highest number of charts in a given reliable time for industrial plants. The system is operated in 2.45 GHz frequency and the energy is transferred from the chart that has the main energy source to the rest of the charters. The LoRa nodes are attached to every charters and this allows to transmit essential information about its location and identification to a central station for trailers’ validation of completeness. A 32-patch antenna array is designed to provide the energy wirelessly from one chart to another and certain amount of power is divided toward the LoRa node to charge. The designed system consists of a full-wave rectifier and non-linear simulations are made for optimization.
