Abstract
This paper presents an experimental campaign carried out on the Accusense voltage sensors for medium
voltage distribution grids, developed in partnership with Altea Solutions.
The project involves G&W Electric Company, switchgear manufacturer, Altea Solutions, sensor
manufacturer, and the University of Bologna.
The entire project has been carried out by the senior graduate power engineering student Nicolo’
Squarzoni, under supervision of Nenad Uzelac and Blair S. Kerr from G&W Electric side and under
supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Peretto from both Altea Solutions and University of Bologna side.
The aim of the project was to design and build highly accurate measuring systems in order to carry out
accuracy tests on multiple samples of Accusense active and passive sensors under different operating
conditions, eventually collecting results for comparison and marketing purposes.
