Abstract
This master thesis in Automation Software and Design Patterns describes an automation project that I worked on during my internship for preparation for the final examination at Icotet S.r.l., a firm that produces electrical cabinets for automatic machines.
The company is internally divided in three branches: the production, responsible for the physical implementation of the cabinets and of the wiring, the electrical design, for the drawing of schematics and circuit diagrams, and the PLC programming, where the software for the logical behaviour of the machine is generated.
This thesis includes some general information about the machine, the description of the circuit diagram of its electrical cabinet and the explanation of the code implemented on its PLC.
The wiring and the physical assembly of the cabinet are omitted because were not part of the activities carried out during the internship.
