Analysis of regional development funds in the tourism and hospitality sector. “The case of Emilia-Romagna”

The final dissertation focuses on analysing the socioeconomic impact of regional funds on Rimini's tourist facilities. Particularly, the dissertation firstly introduces the Regional Regulation on tourist accommodation facilities in Emilia-Romagna Region. It then provides a general overview of the European, Italian and Regional tourism sector, from its development to the recent years, analysing the related tourist flows. The second part of the thesis illustrates the analysis of Rimini's accommodation facilities, from the submission of a specific questionnaire to the collection of the consequent results. Finally, the last part analyses the European tourism strategy and the foundations of the regional funds that are subject of our study.
