Abstract
The stability and longevity of telecommunications poles are critically influenced by the design and implementation of their foundations. As these poles are often subject to significant environmental forces, including wind and seismic activity, the choice of foundation is crucial to ensure structural integrity and safety. This study focuses on evaluating different foundation solutions for telecommunications poles by analyzing their performance across varying soil conditions and water table levels.
Specifically, this research will examine four types of foundations: a simple footing without a plinth, and three composite foundations combining footing with a plinth of different shapes. These foundations will be assessed on two different soil each considered in both saturated and dry conditions. By maintaining the telecommunications pole and applied forces as constant parameters, this study aims to determine the most effective foundation solution under two different geotechnical conditions
