Abstract

This thesis focuses on my internship at Viewtech, a company specializing in advanced solutions for artificial vision and industrial automation. During the internship, I gained significant skills using key tools like Visual Studio and the C++ programming language. Additionally, I learned to integrate and implement libraries for artificial vision from Teledyne Dalsa. The main goal of the internship was to become familiar with a mature software developed over ten years, which posed considerable complexity, and to implement targeted modifications. Specifically, my contribution focused on developing the code for reading and evaluating barcodes, and using image processing to extract information from OCRs. The development process involved deep understanding of existing code, identifying critical points for integrating new features, and validating changes through comprehensive testing.
