Abstract
A large part of our communication is nonverbal. Every day, we respond to thousands of nonverbal cues and behaviors, including posture, facial expressions, glances, gestures, and tone of voice. Unconsciously we then send a lot of messages even if we don't speak. Nonverbal communication is an important interpersonal tool. Understanding how to use nonverbal communication appropriately and establishing a healthy and effective communication style is conducive to building good interpersonal relationships.
