Abstract

Abstract Ethology, the scientific and objective study of animal behavior, often with a focus on behavior under natural conditions [1], has been revolutionized by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques. These methods enable the detailed observation and analysis of both individual and collective behavioral patterns, which are particularly intriguing in swarm dynamics. This study delves into the application of ML and AI to decipher mosquito swarming behavior—a phenomenon characterized by the gathering of mosquitoes in large numbers under specific environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature, and time of day, which is critical for mating and survival.
