Application of the HL7 FHIR standard to improve data sharing and reuse: the case study of patients with rare cancers

My thesis is about the improvement of data sharing regarding patients affected by rare cancers. This has been done using and exploiting HL7 FHIR standard, this topic is part of an European project called IDEA4RC. First i have described the HL7 FHIR standard and then i have described in detailed my activity done for HL7 organization, in particular my task was focusing on the development of a common data model that could be potentially a standard model for allowing data organization in a common way.
