Abstract

This dissertation presents the thesis work carried out during the curricular internship at OT Consulting, an ICT consulting company specialized in the digital transformation of business processes. The thesis covers two main topics: Firstly, it provides an analysis of Vertex-AI, one of the AI-dedicated products offered by Google Cloud Platform in the context of Cloud Computing. The purpose of this analysis is to evaluate the product potential adoption and integration with the company services. Secondly, the document describes the applicative activity of the thesis work, which involved redesigning a process solution for a client of the company: one of the major national Italian banks. The process in question involves managing documents assigned to the bank office for the management of criminal procedures. The solution designed consists of a pipeline of Machine Learning models developed on Vertex-AI and Document-AI (GCP products), and made available to the client through the mediation of OT Consulting software product dedicated to the field of AI: AI-Know.
