Abstract
The aim of the thesis is to determine interaction diagrams for shallow circular foundations using the finite element limit analysis approach. The procedure is applied to normally consolidated clays and three-dimensional models are used. The results are compared with formulations of literature and the method is applied to a case study, for which the environmental loads were known. Results of the study offers an insight on the viability of monobucket foundations for offshore wind farm in shallow water.
