Abstract

In this thesis are reported the main activities performed during my internship in Maserati. The aim is to define the guidelines and the targets to reach in order to improve and optimize the Head-Up Display User Experience. At the beginning, the activity has been focused on the Head-Up Displays, followed by the definition of the current automotive scenario with a benchmark analysis. Then, the focus has been moved on the parameters that can be significant for the evaluation of the Head-Up Display User experience in terms of Ergonomics, Human-Machine Interface and Visual Perception. As a consequence, the guidelines to follow and the targets to reach have been defined for each of the parameter considered. In a very last step, a User Test has been held in order to verify the correctness of one of the previously defined process. The accomplishment of such a complex task has been based on a deep understanding of the proposed work and a severe cooperation between myself and the team of engineers of theMaserati Innovation’s Labs with which I have been honored to work with.
