Abstract
The dissertation will analyze whether an author's gender can influence their writing. This dissertation will consist of three main parts: the first in which the female characters will be analyzed according to their role in the society of their worlds. The second will deal with sexuality and the way of living this aspect of life. In the third and final section, the focus will be on male characters and ‘broken masculinity’.
